Suggestions or recommendations about the survey topic

Accommodation is important for international students during study abroad because this is where students spent the most of time to stay in, other than the university. In addition accommodation can affect student happiness and stress.           We believe that the proportion of share accommodation of international student will increase in the future because it’s the best way to save money for international students. As a result showed most of students rated accommodation as very good because they are satisfied with everything such as quality of accommodation, facilities or security, except the price. They said the price would be cheaper if they can deal with the owner, without any agency. Moreover it will be great if the University or non-profit organization can help international students to find accommodation, which don’t need to prepare many documents, for example statement or salary certificate for sign a house also don’t have...

In this section, we will analyse our survey about accommodation of international students. Firstly, we collected general information about the respondents in terms of ages, hometowns counters, gender and languages. The results show that the majority of the participants are male. Furthermore, Half of our participants are between 18 – 21 years old. In addition, the respondents’ hometown country chart shows there were many students come from different country. The type of accommodation that the EAP4 students live in We found that more than half of EAP4 students are living in shared accommodation and 20% rent an apartment or a house. We believe that because international students prefer to live with other people to share or learn some experiences from others. The summary of our survey findings

Introduction Accommodation is one of the important factors for international students therefore we have decided to ask international students in EAP4 at Swinburne University about how they manage the challenges of accommodation. This survey was completed by 10 students, who come from Columbia, Indonesia, Korea, Oman, Peru, Thailand and Vietnam. As a method of survey, we adopt the small one-on-one interview and we asked both of closed ended and opened ended questions. In our talk, we will present some graphs and a summary of our findings. Results and Discussion           First of all, we have found that a majority of the international students in EAP 4 at Swinburne University are living in shared accommodation, whereas only a few students live in homestay or student accommodation. Rationale for our survey

The topic of our survey is about accommodation of international students, particularly for EAP4 Students at Swinburne University. As we know in recent years, the number of international students has grown in many countries, including in Australia. We believe accommodation is the most important thing that affects many international students; as a result we decided to make a survey about accommodation of international students. We would like to know by the survey the demographic of the respondents regarding gender, age, hometown country, nationality. Furthermore, we will ask the student variety questions about their accommodation. Our expectation is understand how individual international students manage the challenges of housing, for example how did they find accommodation and why did they choose this accommodation.
